Funds research benefitting community of 400,000 people world-wide with a rare genetic disorder called Usher Syndrome Type 1 (deafness at birth; blindness as teenager).

F4CR is committed to returning the “legacy carbon” in the atmosphere to pre-industrial revolution level.  One of their programs is “Youth Leaders 4CR”, designed to prepare future leaders to fulfill F4CR’s vision.

HANWASH (Haiti National Water, Sanitation & Hygiene Program) is a bold, ambitious program.  Now in its 3^rd year, anticipating 12-15 years.  Goal is to have clean water available to every household in Haiti.  Rotary is collaborating with numerous local and international entities to coordinate a series of projects, such as water wells and other pilot projects.

Promotes enthusiasm for reading by way of sponsored teachers in Elementary schools. Significant impact in a culture that to date has not emphasized literacy.

PLA partners with a local contractor to manufacture and install biosand water filters in remote areas of the DR, near the Haitian border.

The goal of The Primavera Project is to prevent period poverty. All monies raised are donated to provide menstrual hygiene education for girls living in the slums near Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

Generates funding for school supplies in the Dominican Republic, using proceeds from knitted scarves, other crafts, and donations.
